Is there a difference

Hope this is in the right section,forgive me if it's not. What is if any the difference between a baseball catchers glove and a softball catchers mitt?

Yes. There is a lot of difference.

Well the first thing is since the ball is 12in you probably want a little bigger pocket. My picture posting skills are terrible momentarily I am sure someone will post you a side by side comparison.

Its mainly just larger to accept a 12" ball instead of a little baseball and the pocket is usually a bit deeper.

The padding around the fingers is thinner on the FP mitt to allow the ball to get into the mitt.
