Then why not stop at one run or just give them a 15 run head start?
Winning 1-0 is the same if they're so overmatched.

I'm just not a fan of saying, "here other team, we know you're terrible - he's a freebie"

Experienced coaches know how to get out of a game where their opponents are over-matched, and I do not want my team in a game on either end of the mismatch (luckily this year, we have not been that over-matched). When it's that obvious we are the better team, I try to get close to the run rule limit quickly and then slow my runners down. I'll bunt with the bases loaded to give them the easy force at home or bunt with 2 strikes. I want out of that game ASAP because it does nothing for my team except risk injury.
