They make decent money in Japan, mostly because all their expenses are covered while they're living there, so they can pocket most when they come home. For NPF? It's peanuts. It's a short season though. Since NPF takes mostly former D1 players, there's a lot of softball players who had to major in early childhood development who have the summer off if they actually managed to find a job.
