I believe this is what Dante taught his sons, I think this may answer your question. I believe he is locked in on most swings, if I am understanding this discussion correctly.

i think this gets misinterpreted. Like most vids by pros. The way the barrel gets worked ‘back and behind’ makes all the difference.

I don't see this as the same thing

I believe what Bichette teaches and how Bo swings the bat is "closer" to what TM teaches and the TTB approach

IDK... just don't normally see pros go into this much detail. I do know that there's not a lot of MLB hitters who take inside pitch and hit to oppo the way Bo does, I believe he stays more connected, just my 2 cents

I think if the first move is to loop (turn) the barrel under they are in trouble for any pitches up in the zone.

i will add, cheating to inside pitches becomes a thing as well. Clearing space w the lead arm when called for isn’t mentioned enough. it creates the space/depth needed to get on path when needed.

Getting on top is the most crucial part of the hands sequential load. It pre-loads the wrists naturally and early. This intention also moves the lead arm outta(space making)the hands path early, puts the torso in lateral tilt as well which is just more space making.. The hands are setting the plane of the swing from the start. They are the ’ships wheel’. The back leg is the rudder.

Getting on top is the same as getting inside the ball. sequence wise they are done at the same time mostly. the barrel releases horizontally and vertically.
