But today we made a major step forward as a team.
With a depleted and injured lineup we beat the #3 ranked team in 12-A in our region and lost to the #5 by one run (on a dumb error - we actually significantly out played them)
Now to see if we can maintain it in a couple of weeks...
To be fair I would actually put them at #5 and #7 in the area, but to give you an idea of where our team is coming from, as we have improved there has been an ongoing discussion on whether they are going to reclassify us to 12U-A or not. Up until the last two tournaments we have been in a bit of a no mans land - beating up on mid-B teams, winning most of our top-B games and been competitive in most A games but without a truly memorable win. I think this will now happen - which is great as we will now be in all the 'A' brackets every week even if we struggle a bit. Should only make us better.
