Just wondering, if a player comes in as a pinch hitter and the team bats around, at her next turn in the order, a) can the person she hit for return to the batting lineup, and b) if she stays in and bats again, does the 2nd at-bat count as her one re-entry allowed?

Please clarify (b)..."if she stays in and bats again..." are you referring to the pinch hitter or the the player she pinch hit for?

Sorry. For b) if the pinch hitter stays in and bats a second time in the inning, is it considered a re-entry?

Sitch (a)....YES. The person she hit for has now re-entered the game.
Sitch (b)....NO. The PH is a legal substitute, and can stay in the game until you substitute for her with either the player she hit for, or another legal substitute.

ASA Rule 4 Sec.5 RE-ENTRY (A) Any player may be substituted for or replaced and re-enter once , provided the players occupy the same batting position in the batting order.
