I saw a girl get hit in the knee cap last month in 14U, she is done for the year,
I guess she needed the 'jump out of the way drill' All she did was try to shuffle back. The ball broke the knee cap

*shudders* I don't mind getting hit by a pitch, but I'm always afraid it's going to get one of those joints and snap it in half or something. That being said, I don't really think about it until something is coming at me!

My mum was a pitcher who had a batter close their eyes and swing. Kneecapped her. She still has issues with it.
