My DD's career didn't get to college, but I'm proud that three of her former travel-ball teammates rank No. 4, No. 8 and No. 11 in ACC hitting right now.
I don't think it's a problem sharing who they are - Logan Morris of N.C. State, Tricia Awald of Georgia Tech and Ellie Mataya of Boston College. All were great, memorable kids and good teammates. Each very talented, obviously. Logan and Tricia could smash the ball, and Ellie was a slapper that didn't look that special until the end of the tournament, when you discovered she'd gone 9-for-13.
None of the three were teammates of each other in travel ball and probably don't realize they have a common former teammate. It was 3 different teams. Glad I had the pleasure of watching them all as youngsters.
