Last Spring I took my daughters, both fastpitch softball players, down to Florida for vacation.
We first looked into viewing some MLB Spring Training games. For the three of us, it would
have cost at least $70 to go see a game. Then a bright idea occurred to me. Why not see
some fastpitch softball games?
We did and loved it. We saw two games played by the local highschool. And then we went to
Florida Gulf Coast University (or Florida Golf Course University as my youngest daughter calls it)
and saw a great Division I doubleheader. It was great and the total cost for all of it was less
than $40.
Anyway, we are trying to do something similar for our next Florida vacation Dec. 30 thru Jan. 6
in the Punta Gorda area. Does anyone have any ideas? Games? Clinics? or whatever. My
daughters play at the 12U and 16U level.
