A2000 OF options?

Hey DFP.

I want to see what experience people have specifically with Wilson OF gloves, both baseball and softball. DD is headed to a Wilson school, so we need to stay with Wilson. She has been playing a 1975 both infield (HS) and outfield (TB and likely in college). She does make diving outfield catches with it and I haven't seen many pop out.

We are looking for comments on what has worked for other players. A T125 would be the default, although a little boring. We know about the PF92 which I'm sure would work but its only 12.25. Has anyone played a BB glove in 12.5 or 12.75? How was the hand stall and how did it fit for shorter fingers? Are there any that are known to work for smaller hands?

An SP125 with the wrist adjusted and worn TIP is dreamy!

I got lucky and snagged a Orange-Tan one with split welting, showed it to the president of our organization, he showed it to his DD who had just committed to play OF at a D1 school here in NC.

I had it 2 or 3 days….less than a week, next thing I know he’s at my work picking it up, I never caught one ball with it! Fantastic glove!

^^^ and this was a very small girl with small hands, it would only work for her TIP.

The SP125 is on the custom builder under a 12.5” slow pitch infield glove.

Don’t overlook a OT6 or OT7 Six-Finger Trap, that’s probably the direction I’d go.

Interesting on the SP125. Only 4 loops on the heel? I hadn't even thought to look at SP. I thought the OT6 would be good, but not available on the builder and she does't want to go all the way to the 12.75 OT7 after playing OF with an 11.75 for so long. Maybe on the next one in two years.

Also checking out the 1750 which looks more bowl-shaped than the SP125.

Good catch on the four loop heel, the majority of people don’t understand what that means…

Couple more pics for your viewing pleasure! If I were to look for another A2000 for me, no doubt it would be exactly this glove again, anytime one goes up sale they’re gone in minutes, especially the ones with split welting!

Ok. I will bite. What does four loop heel mean? I am guessing it would make glove prime for two in the pinky. ?????

The size / width of the wrist opening, in this case somewhat small, especially compared to the huge 6 loop opening of say a Wilson 1799.
