Yes, and many schools want a certain number credit hours taken at their school for graduation within their particular school of study (Engineering, CS, Business, finance, etc). Can't just come in and take 12 hours from said academic degree and graduate.This is a huge piece to consider right here the further along one gets in college before they transfer. Most schools only accept so many in-coming credits and some specific majors may want the higher level courses taken only at their specific school.
