How did they know what they were hitting? Do parents/coaches really share with their kids/players their statistics during the season? To me that is weird..what is the point? 🤷‍♂️

On most TB teams we've been with, parents have been able to see their DD's stats on GC. On the current team, parents and players can see everyone's stats.

.860 something on Saturday, .429 for the tournament in Colorado. Team average was close to .400. DD is probably just over .500 on the year for TB.

Yeah, parents can see their own kid’s on DD’s team. I guess if she asked what her BA was I would tell her..

I would bet that the majority of players have a pretty decent idea of what they are hitting. Have you ever seen the parents with the scorebooks in the stands? Today, they are also keeping score on phones or tablets.
I get parents knowing..just not sure why that has to be shared with the kid unless they ask. Maybe my kid is the weird one since she has never asked about it. I guess I can understand kids needing to know when they get to a recruiting age if they are sending out e-mails, etc.

My kid has never asked, and I stopped looking years ago.

I know when I played I had a pretty good idea of my BA. It's not that complicated of a formula
So firing up the Fugaku isn’t necessary? I must be using the wrong formula..😒

Never had a clue about my BA but I could tell you how many errors I had…

In HS? Yes, some do. There were 40 players in AZ that did this year. One of them is DD's teammate. But she plays 2A, so it might not even be as good as rec ball (our last season in rec ball every team had a good/decent pitcher). Most of the rest of DD's TB team plays 5A or 6A, so averages are a lot lower, mostly in the .400's. I know of a couple others in the .600+ group. One is headed to OU, and the other to LSU. The UCLA kid missed the mark by 5 points. The rest of them mostly go to smaller schools where there is just no pitching or defense.

In TB? Not since 12u... Those kids tend to go find the better competition for more challenge. Something that is hard to do in HS.

I had a sense, but never knew and no one was keeping track. No, it’s not complicated, but you have to care/keep track. All I ever cared about was am I hitting well or poorly this week.
