If we think the main advantage of leaping is that the release point is closer to the plate, then that equates to pitching from around 40ft e.g. the way it used to be. Except now the bats are better, the balls are better and the swings are better.. I doubt it would go back to hoards of 1-0 games if they made leaping legal. Most college teams are not trotting out Ueno or Abbott…

Couldn't find the stats quickly but aren't there 2 or 3 Pitchers at OU with 10-0 records? Bahl. May and soon Trautwein).

Rarified air with only a couple others (Sandercock 19-0) coming to mind.

I think Trautwein has the best ERA on the team but she hasn’t faced the competition Bahl has.
