Tds are you saying that's not bat drag in that clip?
Have you noticed how the bat head did not advance past the hands at contact?

This is correct. Doesn't mean her swing sucks but that it could improve. Sometimes if the coach is not throwing hard enough the hitter drags because she has to much time and instinctively slows (drags) bat to make contact.I don't know who this is but, she had bat drag. She recovered somewhat. She lost early bat speed because of the bat drag.
The initial bat drag resulted in her hitting the ball further away than necessary - notice the biceps slightly extended from the torso, and ball contact well in front of the normal ball of front foot..

Without the initial bat drag, this swing would be greatly improved. Bat speed would be greater, and she would be able to make contact with authority deeper in the zone, thereby giving her HR power to RF,CF.
Can I ask a question on my DD then, how is her elbow positioning and barrel positioning. It’s only off a tee. We need a hitting coach in ND!!!
If she hits quality pitching well, don't change a thing. I know she is far away from the ball and getting max speed but 83 is 83 and that's fast.Does she hit well now?
This was right before DD fractured her foot. I'm posting it because the camera angle is pretty much straight from the side. Bat drag on the 1st swing vs the 2nd swing?
Yes RH, that's exactly what I'm getting at. And if she's not hitting quality pitching, elbow and barrel positioning might not be the issue. I'd be very cautious changing this young ladies swing. If she hits quality pitching well, don't change a thing. I know she is far away from the ball and getting max speed but 83 is 83 and that's fast.
