What am I missing, why did you use Donald who's the exact opposite of the "swing down" demo crew poster kids? He demos the Bonds, and et. al "tomahawk" chop, and says that that's the "thing I want you to stay away from"...


So how are you assimilating that to the Bonds swing and words wrt to it?

I know every time I mention TTB people get offended or refer back to TM. Regardless what you believe TTB is or any other kind of forced pivot, hand/forearm motion to get the bat on plane asap... "Down to" is the exact opposite as per pro demo.

Sure they are, you've just tuned some of them out, and only hear what you want to hear...


I would think a current professional, and former MVP who can break down, and tell you exactly why he does what he says and does, and whose game time video actually shows that he does what he says he does, might not be a bad person to listen to when it's all said and done.

At the very end of the first. gif it looks like he is starting to torque the barrel rearward. Yes I agree his hands/arms are working freely up to that point. I don't see anything that would indicate "down to" in the 2nd .gif. Looks to me like he snaps the barrel rearward and uncoils. 3rd .gif he goes down and gets an off speed pitch.

Interesting discussion, but I think I need to give up. I just can't see what you are seeing. Not saying you're wrong, I just don't see it.

Yea, he talks and shows "down to" and somehow these 2 are the same

Probably another who was taught swing down but was ABAF, so is now attempting the bandaid.

For the record... I am not against anything, except those who say all those Pros who say down to are idiots, they do not know what they are talking about... the conversation evolves from that to how can the pros be down to, but still result in the barrel path we see
