I was one of those kids who growing up had to have the PERFECT bat. Once I found it, I had it for ten years. My coach had to tell me it was broken and time to get a new one. I had the best glove ever, my softball bag was stolen. Cried for a week over that. Took me two tries to get my glove, (a Nokona which I saw recommended here!) Love that glove and it's almost where I want it. Got a DeMarini bat with the insurance money ($1500!) but it's never felt right. Recently got a Worth bat off EBay, very nervous as I've never batted with one, but just found my perfect bat. The DeMarini is remaining mine, but the team is using it.

The only thing I'll never buy again is anything that's Easton branded. I've never, ever had a good experience with their gear. The batting gloves are lucky to last a season. I bought two bags at the start of the year for a tournament, both are now broken. Their bats just feel horrible in the hand. After the bags, unless it's for a team I'm assigned to, I'll never be buying anything of theirs again.
