Story of a student looking for a better coached team, with a goal of showcasing.
Thought about her personal goals, type of academic school choices, personality, playing ability.
Reminded me of one of my other students and her team.
Thing is they both catch and play 3rd base.
The neat thing is~
THEY ARE BOTH QUALITY HUMAN BEINGS !
Called the coach, had a fantastic conversation where he offered the opportunity to come and play to check it out.
When i shared the story with the player/student already on the team,
I commented to her,
It was great to be able to tell your coach
Because of the tremendous character of the two of you,
even though you play the same positions,
You will meet and know you will each have a teammate cheering for you on the field or off.
Her response was
"Sounds good! Will you give her my phone # be happy to make a connection. We can talk about the team and be comfortable when she shows up."
What a shiney moment of CAMARADERIE ! Outstanding!!!
