Looking forward to going to the Rick Pauly/Coach James and all clinic next month. Wanted to see what you all see in these two clips. I appreciate all the great advice that is shared here and look forward to seeing what areas others think we need to work on. Our daughter is 12.

The video opens just fine for me though I'm not sure how much thats worth as I'm not a very experienced pitching coach. The one thing that does jump out at me is her arm seems a little stiff.

Overall. Not to shabby
I think her drive could be a little stronger and her resistance is good on 3 of the 4 points. 1 leg, 2 hip, 3 torso, and the 4th being the upper arm, it never decelerates or stabilizes. By stabilizing the upper arm, the whip will accelerate.

More forward lean, stretch of the stride leg. Let the drive knee get over the toes more. I think this would help with a stronger drive as CJ suggested.

I agree, and it looks like she is pulling some with her shoulder versus letting the arm work.

I would work on Pauly's glove whirl, as her glove side isn't adding much, in fact the swim may be opening the shoulders. The shoulder's look pretty square to the plate at release. She needs the feeling of throwing across her body, not away from it.

The shoulder pulling is something we have worked on and has gotten better but still room to improve .

I think if she does more across the body not only will it help the brush and whip but should keep shoulder from pulling.

Thanks. Additional thoughts?

I think she has a lot of positives going for her and she would learn a lot at the clinic. I would suggest making a list of things you might want to ask at the clinic and bring it with. you.

Work on Adduction...with BOTH ARMS! The glove side arm isn't doing its job. She's definitely losing power by not using the glove side arm to offset the force of the throwing arm. Maybe I'm seeing the side video incorrectly, but I do see the upper arm stabilize and decelerate....and I see the ball pop off the hand.
