Newbie to the board, great info! My dd's are fairly new to softball, but seem to love it. So, I am ready to invest in a high end bat. 300 is the limit. They play rec and one is on a select team. One is 5'8" 150 one 5'6" 130. The bigger one looks to be a power hitter, other more a finesse hitter, but big and strong enough to be a power hitter too. Bat size recommended is 33/23. Now to my question...should I split the 300 and get say a 33/24 end weighted and a level swing 33/24 for other twin at 150 each, or say a high end bat that would work for both? Thanks all!

I love end loaded bats for the bigger girl. You could go 32, 23 with her, because she is new and she would have the additional weight. Then, with twin #2, I would go 31, 21 or 32, 22. Spend some $ on hitting lessons, a tee, a bucket of balls and a net.

And, spend a lot of time on overhand throw. It goes a long way in teaching you to hit.

Thank you all! Well, got the good tee, net, bucket (been using it all summer) and they start lessons with a top notch hitting coach next week to get ready for fall ball...The bigger girl hits like a sledge hammer, great form. Her sister is powering up after every practice, real pretty swing. They are growing so fast, I might have to oversize their bats...just to keep up. I should add they are expected to be 6' and 5'10' by 16.

Found a rocketech 33/24 for 129...would that be a good choice? Maybe a CF5 for the smaller?

I appreciate the comments!

That would be perfect. Do you know what year it is? You can't go wrong with an Anderson bat.
My favorite bat, to give to my students, is an old Louisville Slugger Catalyst, from 8 years ago. I recently found one with the wrapper still on, for $80.00. I use this bat, myself. They would either be yellow or baby blue, if you want to search.

Yikes, the 05 RT is a hot bat. Their popularity has just started to wain, this year. Last year, they were easily selling for $250-$300.00. I had to sell my last one, for cheap, this season, too. Good luck, on your hunt for the Catalyst. (I have a 32 inch, laying in the back of my truck.)

Catalyst was my DD first higher end bat. She loved it. We moved up to bigger Zeno but that catalyst was great.
