Obviously this thing uses aerodynamic drag as a source of resistance. Which means that the resistance is constant or continuous from start to finish. There is no 'coasting or gliding' when you use it. Is this a good thing or bad, especially when you consider what was talked about in this thread;

When does the pitch begin?

The only other aid that I can think of that does this is the Finch Windmill. Which brings up another potential issue, unilateral vs bilateral development. One of the selling points of the Finch Windmill is that it can be used with both arms and also for developing other areas. It takes a lot of effort to move this thing through the air, much more than a weighted ball, although the arm speed is slower, so there is the potential for significant muscle development but it would be unilateral. Is this a problem?

The workout we used with this trainer was targeted for fast twitch muscle development, high intensity-low duration. A cycle was typically around 20 seconds, we never pushed it to exhaustion, followed by 2-3 minutes of rest. A workout, sling shot-ball circle-walk ins, took about 15 minutes including stretches and a warm up.
