Earlier this year, during spring training, a high school coach of ours passed away. He had surgery on his knee and a blood clot formed and travelled to his heart and instantly killed him. Such a tragic event left my team at a loss for words and motivation. We pulled together and received generous donations in honor of our beloved coach. We had a scrimmage and unforunetly lost, but played well. Yesterday was our first game. With his shirt framed hanging in the dugout, and the stickers with his name and number on our batting helmets, and wearing our arm bands with his initials and the date he passed away, we ran to our positions. We won the game with the 15 run rule. Way to go ladies!!! It's a shame Coach Lutz didn't get to see it in person, but I know he saw the game and is very proud of us. Keep it up!!! This season is for you, Coach <3
