Any updates? Still holding off until I know the product works consistently and reliability.
I received the following email last night from RevFire:
We have identified the root cause of the measurement error for those balls. The balls lose calibration resulting in the speed and spin measurements being too high. An updated RevFire app has been developed that provides accuracy through calibration using a radar gun. We expect to release the app in a week and will send out a notification when you may download it.
You may request a full refund return including shipping costs any time until May 1, 2019. We understand that not everyone has a radar gun. If you do, this will give you time to try out the updated app.
We expect to have stock of a corrected balls by mid-April and will give you priority.
The app calibration will work as follows:
- Pitcher throws a pitch
- On the app, go to the new Settings > Calibrate screen
- The ID of the ball will appear along with the last reported MPH
- Next to it you will enter the MPH measured by the radar gun
- The calibration for this ball is done until the app is deleted and re-loaded
You may email us at info@revfire.com with any questions or refund requests.
Thank you,
RevFire Team
