The point was the organization she played for overhyped the girl and got her the 28th-ranked catcher in the class of 2024. She was second-year 14U then, and her skills haven't plateaued. They've regressed. The original question was if anyone dropped out of the rankings. I was giving a clear example of it happening with several girls.

Sorry for the clinically ignorant question - but what are the first steps a player must take to get "rated." In effect - how do players actually get rated? Before posting this - I did look through the site to see if addressed in another thread - but did not find. Is the process different for the various ratings organizations?
