Just curious how the folks here would call this play. This scrimmage had too many collisions at home plate because of poor positioning by catchers.

OBS - easy call ... coach's explantion was lame at best.

Someone suggested the coach should not try umpiring and stick to coaching. I question if that is a good idea. Coach should understand the rules. As RAD said there is a lot of coachable moments in that video.

Very close, but the runner was safe at 1B too. No interference, but obstruction by the catcher. 2 runs score.

I think the umpire may have less experience than both teams had hoped for. I
