I figured I would ask here first, does anyone here have any experience with them or know anything about them good or bad if you know I would appreciate some input. reason im asking I got contacted by them a couple weeks ago about getting my DD started on the program. I looked into it and had a 60min plus meeting with one of the recruiting specialists everything sounds great and they seem to have a lot of tools that are available to the kids, my DD will be turning 14 soon but I was thinking its probably alittle too soon?

Normally I tell people it is not worth it, but given your location is not exactly a hotbed for softball recruiting it may not be a bad idea. I would first have a heart to heart with DD regarding her college softball aspirations. As you are well aware you local options are slim and she may need to be quite flexible with regard to how far she is willing go from home. If you and she really do not care, down here in the SE if you can chew gum and play ball there are $$$$.

Schools that have smaller recruiting budgets use NCSA a lot so if you are thinking D1...it might not be worth it for you. Even if they "level" your DD at the D1 level, that doesn't mean they'll find her on that site. If you are thinking D2 or especially D3, it could be great for her but she still needs to put the work in. A friend of ours has over 150 views by D3 schools and 4 by D2. She was "leveled" at D3-mid-level D2. She is playing at one of those D3 schools. DD was on the site for 1 1/2 years and had about ten D1, 20 D2 and about 120 D3 views (a view can be multiple times by one school).
They make it very easy to contact coaches and everything is very organized. You can see if a coach reads an email. The SAT prep courses are only worth it if your DD is highly motivated to study- mine was not😕 You can try to negotiate on that if you are interested. The live webinars are cool and very helpful... DD got to chat with Sue Enquist and Mendozza doing that. The personal recruiting coach really helped DD when she was getting really frustrated with the whole process. .
The profile pages are very professional.
A former employee told me they do not level many athletes at the D1 level because they are more successful with the other levels.
It worked for us but was expensive. After sending video to On Deck and talking to them, I wish we would have known about them earlier.

I am sure there are some benefits to the recruiting websites, but you and your DD still need to take "ownership" of her recruiting. DO NOT just sign up for a website and think everything will take care of itself. That only works if your DD is a 70+ MPH flame thrower who hits 300' bombs.

I am not sure how much NCSA charges for their services, but with a skills video, a laptop and internet service you can run a pretty good recruiting program from your kitchen table. A pen and stationary is also a good idea!

JAD is correct in that you still need to put a lot of work into it no matter if you go with a service or not. It makes it convenient having all the information together with all the current coaching information, etc... DD still sent of countless emails, letters, and made a lot of phone calls. I wouldn't have done it but my DD got it as a "gift" from her grandparents when she told them about it.

Thanks guys for all of your input. she is very commited to wanting to play ball in college and doing everything she can to achieve that even only at 13 well basically 14 in a cpl weeks. I was thinking about doing it maybe next yr I can still have her profile and build on it b4 paying anything the costs are not cheap but not terrible either depending on what they say they can do for you with all the tools that they offer and yes where we live access is by far not very good. our travel team does a ton of showcases etc. but that only goes so far.
