Exactly Eric F! A little more about his planing ,stretch, maybe a little about the outside pitch and how he doesn't think hands for hitting that location. I'm curious about that feel . He always talks about the high inside and nothing about the low away(hardest pitch to hit imo).
What Donaldson is saying is not groundbreaking. It's what a lot of people have been saying, but he's able to explain it because he's lived it and figured it out. "Coaching" is atrocious for the most part. Now with YouTube and thousands of other "coaches" giving opinions it muddies the water. Kids who develop into adults with the wrong coaching have a long way to go to correction. He did it himself and learned what suits him instead of listening to the same old clowns preaching knob to the ball, hands inside, knees bent, elbow up, doorknocking knuckles, ......... It's so regurgitation.
Everyday I see "coaches" who have never played past coach pitch baseball giving instructions on how to hit a simple fastball low and away. It's laughable and a major disservice to the children that are listening
