First time I have seen this play. Saturday's first game. Runners on 1st and 2nd and one out. DD on the plate and throws a nasty drop that hits the dirts directly in front of home plate and then bounces about 3 feet straight up in the air almost looking like the soft toss we do during warm ups. Batter then hits the ball on a one bouncer to first. The runner on first confused by the play doesn't move so first tags her then the bag and then throws over to third where we get the runner advancing from second on a tag. Would have been a great triple play if we didn't already have the one out.

Definitely and interesting play and I'm impressed she was able to hit it on the bounce!
That had to be a hoot to see. Too bad there is no video of it.
I am suprised that she has the presence of mind to know that she could legally hit that ball!
My DD was pitching in college, and she threw a nasty drop ball that hit in front of the plate. It came up and the batter hit it out of the park.
