I was working with my DD doing walk throughs which she loves doing. She tried doing a couple in a game(she's 8). Got called on it and it threw her off her game that day. Was kind of funny. Compared to some of these ladies her mechanics are great.
They already moved the kids back to 43 feet, isn't that enough to quell any perceived "advantage." I swear, parents, coaches and umps can argue about this crap endlessly... is it or isn't it. Distinctions without differences -- call balls and strikes. I've seen this called on kids (including my own) while I've watched umps completely disregard a kid flying through the air with both feet in the air like they're doing ballet. If they can't figure out or agree on what an illegal pitch is, they ought follow the international lead. This just gets in the way of the game.
