How many is to many ?

18U we carried 14 on the roster, typically we had 12 or so for Tournaments. Graduations, Grad Parties, Work, Injuries, so forth. Some Tournaments we even had to pick up players because we could only field 8 players. Early Tournaments were tough!!!

Don't forget that it's big business for some orgs. The more players, the more money that goes to the org. For example, I have been told that Tony Rico (Firecrackers) gets $25 a month from every player in his org. He has over 100 teams nationally x 15 players per team. You do the math. It's some serious cash.

I like what someone posted. You have the number of players per your age group. 10u had 10 players, 12u has 12 players, etc. except 18u probably doesn't need 18 players. I would max out at 16 unless it's a very elite team with heavy showcases and many verballed players.
