My favorite memory from last year was watching my DD catch for her HS freshman team. She threw out two runners and picked another early and got into the opposing teams head that leading off and stealing were a bad idea. Late in the game a ball got passed her to the backstop, the runner at first hesitated ran, hesitated again then went for the steal. Meanwhile my DD picked up the ball at the backstop and threw her out from that spot 15 ft behind the plate. No way she would have gotten the out if the girl didn't hesitate, but it was fun to watch and I gave her kudos for never giving up on the play.
