I'm a big fan of the ice-cold mac salad or pasta salad, maybe some garbanzo's in there for a little protein.
You mentioned fruit, but bananas specifically are good.

Avoid mayo. Stay High protein. Greek Yogurt, hard boiled eggs, peanut butter, etc. Instead of making sandwiches have sliced low fat deli meat ready and roll them up. Hummus is great. Soft fruits as well, especially bananas.

Carb up a couple of days before a tourney, and high protein during the tourney.

Thanks for the responses, been a busy day and just now checking in. Got a couple of protein shakes for her to try, some fruit and individual peanut butter packets. She is still too sore to chew very much so sticking with softer choices for now.

Back in the day I would eat peanut butter on Nilla wafers for all day tournaments. Portable, no refrigeration needed, protein/fat/carb ratio decent.

My daughter has braces and is also gluten intolerant. That can be a challenge at times. She'll down an "Ensure" Shake if she can't chew anything. Tylenol and Advil taken together do a very good job of controlling the soreness.
