Trying to work with our 12U lefty 1B (as well as my oldest, also LHT).
Is there a typical footwork pattern for getting back to the bag to receive the throw from the C?
I’m thinking the ending position to receive the ball would be almost sideways - back facing the base, chest to the pitchers circle (~45 degs?), to allow for a swipe tag back to the base.
Is there a movement pattern that’s usually taught? (Like a drop step, or crossover + shuffle, etc.?)
Thanks in advance for the help.
