Any suggestions on end loaded bats from last years and this years models? DD used an older end loaded bat that broke half way through the season last year. what options are out there?

It all depends on the budget and of course, what your DD likes to swing. You have top of the line bats in every manufacturer such as the LS Xeno, Demarini CF8 Insane, Mizuno Whiteout FP2 Extreme, Easton Mako and Miken has several end loaded models. Then you also have middle of the road and also good starter composites as well from each one.

CORRECT , you can go broke chasing softball bats. and that's why i asked about last years models as well. we thought last years xeno was end loaded but it was balanced. nice bat, but not end loaded.

Those are last years models as well as this years. Most, but not all, are just repaints on the same body and barrel. Some are just more end-loaded than others. You also must remember that some bats that are balanced actually swing end-loaded if that makes sense. What kind of end-load do want? RT, Mizuno Whiteout Extreme FP2, Combat Wanted G3 end-load which is really heavily end-loaded or mildly end-loaded such as the Xeno which just swings that way? Demarini CF8 Insane is middle of the road (IMO) end-loaded. What it comes down to is what your DD is comfortable with swinging, likes and fits in your budget.

There are several ways to attack this dilemma. 1) You can see what bats your DD's teammates have that she might like to try out and ask them if it's okay to swing them during a few different BP's. 2) You can go to a specialty store that has demos to hit and see what she likes. 3) You can order several different models on-line from a site that has a liberal return policy such as Justbats.com, hit them with the wrappers on, clean them up a little and return the ones your DD doesn't like or 4) contact Coresoftball20 on here and see what he recommends and try that one out. Core is very knowledgeable, has a great selection of bats, unbeatable service and prices and many of us on here won't purchase another bat unless it's through him.

DD has been using the Easton Power Brigade (yellow & black) for past couple seasons. Started with the 2013 model and got the 2014 model and use both bats, with the 2013 model mainly for practice. These end loaded bats still have a lot of pop and would recommend them. Has consistently had solid hits with many home runs. Check eBay might be able to find new or used bats at a good price.

The Xeno has a slight end-load, but it's not as significant as those from other manufacturers. The LXT is LS's "balanced" model.

For a new end-loaded bat, my first choice would probably be the Demarini CF8 Insane.

her coach gave her a 2012 xeno which was certainly end loaded and i look it up on ebay and it's selling for 100's of dollars. we didn't know what a great bat it was at the time. so she let the high school coach use it all the time to hit grounders. eventually it started to break. to bad, because she destroyed the ball with that bat. she's strong enough to swing end load, but it's hard to just buy a bat at these prices without knowing if it's a keeper. i will try to find a place that has demo bats. all the girls on her team swing a smaller bat so it's hard to borrow one..... thank you for the advice
