I strongly advise against internalizing a hitter’s process. The great Yogi Berra once said “You can’t think and hit at the same time.” There might be some truth to that.

I got DD the WINReality Oculus program for Christmas. She spent five minutes looking at it and said, “I don’t hit like that. See the ball, hit the ball.”

She went on to say that the ball will be in the catcher’s glove before you can think the word “curve.” The best you can do is train your muscles to make a mechanically sound swing, track the ball with your eyes, and expect to fail 70% of the time.
