Crack?

Is this a crack or paint line? This is a Ghost with the warranty going out this month. Has a slight rattle that sounds like glue broke off.

its the offseason, I wold returne right away, worst case is they say paint and send it back to you.

You have nothing to lose by filing a claim at this point. What you've shown is generally how my DD's have started. From there it'll sharktooth off that vertical line. Should be plenty hot though!

This is a 2019 (2018?) model bat. How is it still under warranty?

Those are superficial, but they won't get better. If you can still return it, I would ASAP.

Looks like a failure waiting to happen. As an umpire I would remove the bat from play.

That's a very vulnerable part of the bat. That crack around the barrel of the bat is actually the bottom of the inner barrel. I've seen that type of crack many times.

I would return it.

My kid is rolling with this bat and it still seems hot.

The rest of the bat looks like yours all the way around and up and down the barrel.

This is the 4th and final Ghost I will ever purchase though.

Interesting little "Charlie Brown" crack around the barrel on the left of the picture. Good thing about bats is there are lots of good options. The gap to the Ghost has tightened significantly as of late.
