Oh yah, I hear you...Just talking to the stress points prior to bat cracks opening up. I've always noticed the paint will truly go, but the compsite has nothing you can drop a nail into yet.

Just making sure folks know the diff between webbing and this. On the FB page people acted like this was nothing. Webbing
is no biggie at all. Seams are cracks...because this will piece apart at some point and not allowed for play.

Which test is that?
Often times, it's just a sight test. They look at it and determine if it's legal. The NCAA and PGF conduct compression testing, but your average HS game or local tournament won't got to that extent.

And if you were wearing blue today and saw this bat. What would you say?
Personally, I'd let it go, but I'm not an umpire.

And that's all I was looking for. A general consensus not the word of law and a supreme court decision. LOL
It does appear as though people here hate polls!
Problem is, im a bat guy and know its fine. Others are not and have no clue about bats. You dont know who you are gonna
get umping. There are lots of umps that project themselves into games and use magnifying glasses to inspect bats and some
just dont know about bats and think this is a crack crack. Other umps just quick peek and done.
If you get one of those touchy feely bat umps, he may bounce it
