Last couple weekends we have played defense with our own four balls. We bring them to check-in, they have to be one of three brands and they are stamped if they are approved and we put our team name on them.

We use those same four balls on defense all weekend. The games have been so much better. Lasers. Rockets. Home runs. The contact sounds like Crack! instead of “blop”.

Hey tournament directors and umpires- want to make the game better? When this thing is over and we get back to normal, quit hoarding the new balls! Everyone brings two new ones. Require good balls. Get them in the gosh dang games and USE THEM.

In the tournaments our organization run, we supply 2 balls to start each game and collect them at the end of the game. Used balls are provide to our teams for practice. Doesn't really cost us any more money as we need practice balls and now we get to use higher quality ones,

Our little org provides Sterling balls with our logo on them. We bring two to each game (hopefully the same two all day) and then into the practice bucket. Works well.

Around here in NE Ohio, due to Covid-19, every tournament we've been in so far has supplied us with a brand new leather ball at he start of each game that we are required to use on defense and take with us into the dugout at the end of each half inning. At the end of the game, we keep them to use as back-ups for balls out of play in the following games (they're supposed to be sanitized every inning and when put out of play). At the end of the tournament, we take them home. So far I have almost 2 dozen almost new, leather covered, USA sanctioned Dudley Thunderheats and DreamSeams in my bucket.

Who has been buying game balls?

I heard someone mention in passing that they were having a hard time finding them? True or false?
