Flexion is the key to throwing the rise and curve, no doubt. Go back to the earlier posts in this thread and you'll see it was mentioned a bunch. There was another thread where I made gifs for you of under vs over the thumb. When you throw over the thumb, there is no way to throw OVER unless the wrist is flexed... unless your throwing illegally sidearm... same goes with under the thumb... you lose the flexion... you're throwing around the thumb. Under is SIGNIFICANTLY harder to reproduce with fluency.
