Chalking Player Numbers on Field

I've volunteered to stencil our seniors' numbers on the field for senior night. Has anyone done something similar? Looking for suggestions on the type of chalk to use. I'm planning on making big cutout stencils and then spray chalking to make it nice and clean looking, but for some reason, white spray chalk seems to be out of stock everywhere. Thanks!

My daughter did this for our seniors . She used white paint and sometimes outlines it in black. Her 1st time she made the numbers too big and it was a real chore. Seven seniors was a lot of numbers.

Get the stencils football uses to paint yard markers on football field. That’s what I always did. I painted numbers in grass. Didn’t chalk them
