Can I use fast-pitch softball equipment for slow-pitch softball?

I have a fast-pitch glove and bat, but would like to play recreational slow-pitch softball. I am wondering if it is common for some people to have a fast-pitch glove and bat while playing slow-pitch softball. I am mainly concerned about being able to use my glove, which I picked because it fits me well. What are y'all's thoughts?

There shouldn't be any issues using fp equipment to play sp. Typically the slowpitch bats are heavier.

There is no such animal as SP or FP equipment. Any references to that effect are pretty much that of the manufacturer.

I once asked 2 umpires about using my fast pitch bat and they said No. I found out that they were wrong, but they were ASA certified. So, sometimes, even the umpires don't know.

Even men use lighter bats from time to time.
