Last year I was in a local sporting goods store and in the clearance bin I found a NIW CF3 Gold edition for $50. It was 33/23, and too big for my DD, but I bought it anyway. The catcher on DD's team was using an old aluminum bat that sounded like it was a bunch of tin cans glued together, and I sold it to her dad at cost. She went from a singles hitter to hitting doubles and triples in a week. While it was great to see the bat make such a difference in this girl's performance, part of me wishes I still kept that bat in the wrapper now that she is playing HS ball in a different district.
