I wish I had Gladwell before I had my daughter. She's a November and always left a little behind because of the "lag" in 1st year 8U. 2nd year due to "politics" (I don't network well). 1st year 10u she was youngest on the team.
I never noticed this with older daughter because she's a February.

What can be done? More practice and wait until 16U?

In school ball she should be one of the oldest in her class so you have that going for you. When she is in the 7th grade she will be a 14u travel player.

Next time try and have a January birthday.

If I had only knew about the cutoff dates when we were beginning to try to conceive. Why didn't they tell us about this in our parenting classes????
