Is it illegal to use a 1st basemen's glove for any other position besides 1st? Reason I ask is seen a player move from 1st to short without switching her mitt. Thought you couldn't do that.

In ASA you can use a 1st base mitt at any position.

If it is ASA, her mitt is legal. You would need to double check on the other associations. So, she does not necessarily need a different glove. Haha. I misread the entire post. Carry on.

Using a mitt at another position other than 1B was illegal at some point in the past. Not sure when it changed, but it legal now in ASA. DDs 14" mitt came in handy in the outfield.
