This past weekend.
I've only seen this happen when a player is injured at the tournament and they have to be replaced at the last minute. But just picking up random players to win is pathetic. I can't believe parents would let their kids do that while paying players sit.- catchermama

My DD was also a 1st year 10U on a 2nd year team and didn't play alot. She also wanted catch and got 1 game the whole season. It was tough to watch her not play as much as the others, but she was still getting good workouts at practices and the team was good so oddly enough she actually...- catchermama

Fastpitch Face Masks Revisited
I think the face masks will eventually not be a point of discussion as the younger girls that have grown up wearing them will likely continue to do so. My DD is 12U and has always worn a mask, her teammates wear them and every team we play wears them. If these girls play in college, I don't they...- catchermama

I think her arm is OK. She gets the ball to 2B pretty quickly and accurately. She got outs pretty consistently during MS ball. Last travel tournament she didnt get any...so I don't know. I just assume she has to work at it like everything. Thanks for all your comments! I really appreciate it.- catchermama

Yes, he wants her to do left right left. The other catcher on the team is a lefty and my DD said the 3 steps don't seem to bother her as much...but she's new to catching so I don't think she knows another way yet.- catchermama

Would appreciate another opinion...or two! My DD is an 11 year old catcher. She's been working with a catching instructor for about a year and has done pretty well under her instruction, IMO. My DD's travel ball coach is trying to change the way she throws down to 2B. Right now she is coming...- catchermama
