Everyone who lives in the NE dreams of playing in the south. Yes, in FL we play
10 months (nothing in August or December). There are plenty of girls from
the NE playing D1. Athletes have no boundaries! My daughter was Bat Girl for FAU
(D1) game and spent the day with the team (D1) from Long Island University.
They have an outstanding program at LIU and the coach is exceptional.
For exposure, you can register for a showcase tournament as an individual position player.
Look up 'Rising Stars' Tournament in Ft Lauderdale. I know a player who went by herself
as a 2B last winter. She just signed a letter of intent to Middle Tennessee State. Keep your sights set
on the big D1 schools, but remember education serves you best after the age of 22.
Make sure your D1 school has your course of study for career after softball.
You sound level-headed, best of luck to you!
