There is a reason why I watch my daughter pitch from the parking lot.
The last few years of DD's career, I tried to be stoic. No smiling, no clapping, no emotion...Unless she did something stupid then I would flip out.
That describes half the dads on here.
If only I can be like Jeff Kent watching his kid play.
Pete Sampras' Dad used to go for a run any time his son would play a tennis match in a tournament. He couldn't watch.
I love watching DD hit. She's good at it because she puts a ton of work into it. So I just had a more comfortable time watching her at the plate.
When she pitched though, I paced. It was hard to simply sit and enjoy watching. She's done pitching now, and I regret not being able to find a way and just watch. DW could do it....never seemed fazed even when DD was throwing an abysmal game.

Same. Can't sit still. Everyone gets a good chuckle out of it. I need some sort of step monitor to see what kind of milage I rack up during a tournament. Too bad they don't make anything like that.
