DD is Murph when it comes to softball. Always has been. But it’s pretty apparent who Murph is when you look at the roster

My DD is Glitter Bomb.

You can only write it in sparkly letters. Otherwise you spelled it wrong.

If she achieved this name by making glitter bombs to ward off porch pirates, then I think that everyone (except those in the pirate community) highly approve. Some of those videos are hysterical.

I have no idea what you're talking about but it made me laugh.

IMO, it kinds of depends on the nickname, and how the player is known, IMO.

"Gigi" instead of Giselle is fine, if that's how she's called by most people, including her parents. Janet Rodney would probably not get listed as "J-Rod", even if that's a commonly used nickname for her on the field.

I agree with this. DD (Jayleen) earned the nickname “JoJo” with her school coaches. It started at open fields last Summer and stuck. ALL of her teammates and coaches called her by that. Her school coaches use it even when talking to me about her. It even transferred to her TB team. She loves it. So I would feel comfortable listing it as, in her softball world, that’s her name.

My name growing up in the family and other was Juanito. No fukkin' lie. I hated it and it was embarassing AF when used in public. My dad and I have the same name. Figure it out. Dad majored in Spanish at the University of the South at Sewanee in TN. He hitchiked to Mexio and ended up in the Peace Corp in Guatamala after he graduated from College. When chiks would call the house in my teens, my mom would yeall out Juanito it's for you!!!! OMG! How about explaining that Sh$t to the girl I'm trying to get close to. FML. My friends even called me Juanito. My God will it end? College came and a whole nother name blossomed. I am not gonna say! It's still used today and wife is like...REALLY? Unfortunately, my younger brother took on the same Moniker. Litlle T&&& on the rugby team.

Now that I have been in the working. I have a more respectable nickname which I helped make Justin Timberlake easier to tolerate. JT! For some reason people that don't even know more started calling me JT and so on, and so on. Now it's just easier if I introduce myself as JT rather than my real name. My Boss and all my peers call me JT. I never asked for it, but it works.

I preferred my self proclaimed Fantasy moniker. T. O. to the Double Dizzo. It gives me street cred instantaniously.

There is a guy by the name of Mark Rober that has some videos on youtube of these “glitter bombs” he made to thwart package thieves (aka porch pirates) from stealing packages left on his front porch. The reactions from the thieves are hilarious bc he was able to actually start filming them once the package was opened. I know the video is long, but I promise they are well worth watching the entire thing.

Off topic but Mark Roper is awesome if your kids are at all into science, he has a way of explaining it and making it fun.
