good luck, I know that DD is nor parting with either her CMW3000 (recently relaced) or CMW3001 (current gamer). broken in catchers mitts are like gold. I fear the only broken in ones you will find available are lower end ones that people have moved on from, and probably not worth the time. hell, if someone could convince me to sell one of DDs CMW3s, probably would charge new price, maybe higher.
buy a new CMW3000 or 3001 (3001 superceded the 3000), you will not be dissappointed. will be a breast to break in, but well worth it. have her catch a boat load of pitching lessons this winter, will be ready by early spring for game use. most important thing to do is develop a break in the heel, that is really the impediment lots have getting it closed when new, the heel.
This makes me smile, thanks! Just gave a Vinci mitt away to a great family, and it’s an incredible feeling!I have a well broken in wilson A2000, DD used it for 2.5 years. The good, fresh full relace, cleaned, conditioned. The bad, there's a pretty good tear at the welting between the back leather and the palm leather at the base of the pocket (in the "u" of your thumb and pointer finger).
The really good, I would donate it for just the cost to ship it. For an 11yo, it would easily last 1+ years. 14u Boulder IDT winning glove!
