I can't windmill pitch but from behind a screen at around 20' I can throw really hard, and put a ball any place I want to throw it! Just takes practice, I think girls need to see a ball coming out of a hand from the bottom.
We had a coach (a guy) in first year 14U who actually took pitching lessons from a former D1 pitcher, he actually got really good, he also believed in live pitching in practice and wanted the girls to see the real thing without always wearing out his pitchers.
