Followed a game yesterday where a neighboring town's high school put up 23 runs to the opponents zero. No hitter and seven home runs spread across three players. Maybe I've already put to much thought in to this game, but when I see those numbers it's strikes me as a failure on the part of both of those coaches. I understand that players are required to hit, throw, and catch in order to win or lose the game. That being said even if you did nothing to scout the other team at some point don't you stop pitching to the girls hitting it over the fence? And for the coach's team that put up 23...what did you teach ?
